I am Mictecacihuatl, Lady of the Dead. I am with you when you honor your ancestors, and I am with your beloved dead when they pass from one life to the next. During the festival of Dias De Los Muertos, there is laughter, food, art, and somber reflection by the living toward their ancestors, as if they can be brought back into the family each year, and again released with loving goodbyes into the great beyond. These are ancient feast days which have grown and changed with the times, because our desire to honor our dead will never die.
