I am Sekhmet, Goddess of Righteous Anger, Lady of the Flame.  Over the centuries, I have been deliberately misunderstood and misrepresented by those for whom a woman's anger is threatening. As women you are told to swallow your anger and rage, but you know that when you do, it just builds up until you reach your breaking point. This is not necessary! Embrace your mighty anger and allow it to transform the world into something better! Have passions and fight to see them manifest! As the Sun can both burn and sustain life, so too can your most powerful feelings destroy and create.

6" Sekhmet

Sekhmet is often depicted as a woman with the head of a male lion. Here I've shown her as a woman with a lion's mane. Her dress is not the traditional pure red she's often associated with, but the reddish-brown of a sunset after a fire. For me, this wraps up all of the ideas surrounding the Flame of Righteousness and it's aftermath. She wears a traditional solar disk headdress wrapped with the cobra of divine protection. Like the headdress, her necklace is also embroidered, a stylized Egyptian collar.

11" Sekhmet is $70
Smaller versions of Sekhmet are available without her embroidered collar

6" Sekhmet is $35
