Gemstones for each holy day are:
Yule: red carnelian
Imbolc: pink rose quartz or rhodochrosite
Ostara: yellow honey jade
Beltane: green aventurine
Litha: blue sodalite or lapis
Lughnasadh: purple amethyst
Mabon: brown smoky quartz
Samhain: black onyx

Wheel of the Year Calendar

How does it work?
At appropriate intervals around the Wheel of the Year embroidery, I have sewn a rainbow of small gemstones to symbolize each holy day. Your calendar set comes with a little embroidered sun which fits over the gemstones, so on each Sabbat you can move the sun to the next place on the Wheel.
Your set also comes with eight separate phases of the moon, which snap easily into the center of the Mother Tree, so you and your family can track the phases of the moon. If your family doesn't already do this, you can make it a new family tradition to actively watch the moon and how she changes each night (and day!), and when the moon phase changes, you can change the little moon on your calendar, too!



Each wallhanging comes with a Sun and eight phases of the Moon embroideries.

There is a pocket on the back of the wallhanging in which you can keep your Moon phases
when they are not being used, so you won't lose them.
